Right.

So I ‘tested’ mums online shop.

Purely for ‘research purposes’ you see.

(sorry husband)

I didn’t tell her either, I just wanted to see how easy it was to use, and how quickly it would arrive.

Well.

The next day my top and scarf arrived, beautifully wrapped (see below) and with a lovely little hand written note with a voucher for $20.00 next time I shop online.

This is the scarf I purchased.  I made Bazz (otherwise known as husband, lover, ball and chain, Dad and champion butt-sniffer in our house) take this photo before I left for work, he really loves taking photos of me. Just so you know, I’m not one of those high maintenance wives who makes their partners take 40 to get ONE MODERATELY GOOD ONE.

I never do that.

I think we cracked the winning picture at 28 (and then I realized I had a water stain on the bottom of my shirt, but I let it go because by that stage I am pretty sure Bazza was about to have a nervous breakdown).

Anyway, I LOVE SCARVES. I know we live in North Queensland, and walking around outside is akin to sweating like a whore in church – but I love how you can just wear a relatively simple outfit, and then put on a bright scarf, matching shoes and then maybe a bangle or something, and there you have an outfit.

In this case, I matched my lippy and shoes.

It’s also good if you are clumsy like me and spill your toothpaste on your clean top while brushing your teeth, or you have a toddler with sticky breakfast Vegemite fingers…. Not ideal when you are running out the door late for work.

Just pop a scarf over it. INGENIOUS.

(flicks hair)

This price of this scarf is $19.95 (you can buy it here) – a pretty cheap way to jazz up an outfit (which is why, I kidd you not, I have about 40 of them).

The material is light and cool, and drapes nicely.  I struggle with scarves that are too bulky because I am short (and bulky enough) as it is.

I have been eyeing this little light blue polka dot dress (this one), and put my $20.00 voucher towards it.

See I am practically saving money! Plus it’s for work, so technically its a ‘need’ item and not a ‘want’ item.

That’s what I’m telling the old ball and chain anyway.
