So, we are working our way through – we have covered everyday essentials, underwear and jeans.
The next item of clothing we need to talk about are a good pair of black pants and/or a skirt.
This is one item of clothing I would spend some money on, they can last for years so long as your size doesn’t change (again!!)
So, so versatile, they can work for you for almost any occasion. Pair them up with a boho top or a classic fitted shirt, a tee and a jacket or simply a cool strappy top.
Go for your leg shape as we did with the jeans, (wide, straight or slim) that suits your personal shape the most.
I must admit black pants and skirts of all shapes and fabrics take up the most room in my wardrobe!! I LOVE them, and are my “go-to” on days when I’m in a hurry or can’t make up my mind.
These days you can buy fabrics with a lot of stretch which are so comfortable, especially for travelling.
Another thing to check when making your purchase is to always look at the cleaning instructions. I’ve been caught before by dry clean only!
When washing at home I use a product called BLACKWASH by Radiant for all my black and coloured garments. It works because it has absolutely no bleach or whitening in it, like regular soap powders.
My only complaint is its usually on the top shelf, where you can’t see it, so if you’ve never noticed it, that’s why!
I’m also very short, so I usually get a handsome stranger to pass it down to me (on second thoughts; maybe that’s a bonus!)
