Spring racing is all about florals and colour. There are some beautiful styles & fabrics available at the moment. Floaty and feminine or tailored cuts all get a tick!

If your dress is simple, ramp up your accessories, make a statement with your shoes or a show piece necklace (choose 1 piece only). Try not to overdo it, the pieces should fit together well, not scream for attention in competition.

BE YOURSELF

Your outfit should be a reflection of your personality, within the racing outfits guidelines.
I have a friend who loves the races and fashion but would NEVER wear a floaty dress. Floral? Yes, but in a tailored style, and she always looks a million dollars because she is true to herself and styles that suit her.

Gloves & Stockings

Stockings are essential for winter racing, but not for spring racing. However, that said, they make your legs look great and can really finish off your outfit. I love the ones that have the shapewear style top, if they are good enough you can leave the shapewear off altogether!
Gloves are essential if you want to enter fashions on the field, but not if you are going just for fun.

Don’t show too much skin!
Short skirts are ok, but not a micro mini!!
Remember as the day wears on and drinks are consumed, you may accidentally expose more than you intend to – trust me, I’ve seen it with my own eyes!
VERY UNATTRACTIVE!!
Strapless is ok too, just no boobs hanging out, please!

Rose gold and metallic are strong this season. Go white on white for something different and elegant.

It’s usually hot – if you can, try to choose an outfit you’re not going to “cook” in.

Pay attention to your shoes – try to choose a block heel, kitten or wedge heels so you don’t sink into the ground too badly.
